Normandy Camporee
April 19-21, 2024
In April 2024 there will be a few new features compared to the earlier Normandy camporees.
One of these is the Hospitality Hut next to the Trading Post. You will find it directly across Omaha beach, in the Salles du Fetes area.
Outside the Trading Post we have an open area where the Hospitality Hut will be situated. It is not called “hut” for nothing. We will make sure there is enough coverage to keep out any Normandy “liquid sunshine”. The hut will be open during Trading Post opening hours and beyond. It is the place to chat and discuss whatever you’d like to share with you fellow scouters and/or the hospitality team, led by Bob and Louise Elliott.

Bob and Louise are Normandy Camporee ‘veterans’ and Bob very successfully ran the Trading Post last time in 2022, supported by Louise and of course the whole TP team. The Hospitality Hut will provide space, shelter, tables and benches and permanently FREE COFFEE for all visitors. There is only one condition: you must buy a Normandy hospitality mug to be offered endless refills of coffee in the Hospitality Hut!
There will be (electric) branding equipment, to decorate your mug with a 80th Anniversary seal and make your own lasting impression (at least on the mug) of the Normandy Camporee. Price of this future collector’s item is only $8.
