Religious Relationships Committee

The Religious Relationships Committee meets quarterly to discuss plans and implement initiatives to promote Scouting’s Duty to God. Feel free to reach out to any committee member with questions, ideas, suggestions, or to join the committee.

A.J. Boyd

Chair, Catholic Christian

A.J. is a theologian and expert in ecumenism and interreligious dialogue who has taught university and seminary in Rome for over a decade. He is also a lay ecclesial minister and a global consultant for WOSM.

Dr. Bill Collins

Latter-Day Saints

Bill is an army veteran and physician, and has been associated with scouting since 1954. He is a longtime scout chaplain. With his wife, Donna, they have camped in the jungle in the Philippines, the Bavarian Forest, several US Jamborees, the forests in Virginia and now camp in the mountains of Utah. They are both Level 2 Leave No Trace Instructors and especially enjoy teaching the principles of LNT.

Scott Eversman

Scott is an Executive Search Manager and resident of the UK for over 30 years. He has been involved in Scouting since 2005, a member of the TAC executive board and former vice-president for development. He is also a licensed Lay Reader in the Church of England.

Rick Galeano

Rick is the Scoutmaster of Troop 44 in Stuttgart, Germany. Rick has been a Scout since 1984 and earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 1992. He has served in South Florida Council, Pee Dee Area Council and Transatlantic Council over the years.

Jeff Cox

Jeff is a Board member of the Transatlantic Council BSA. He was active as a youth in Scouting in the LaSalle Council BSA. He served as Chaplain at Philmont Scout Ranch and Spirit of America Council. He previously served as a Founding Member of the General Commission of United Methodist Men.

Toma Mallett

Toma is the District Commissioner for the Horizon District. He had been a scout in his youth, and is an adult leader since 2016 at both troop and district level. He currently serves as a reader for his parish in the Republic of Georgia.

Sameera Mohammed

Sameera is serving an Executive Board member for TAC since 2022, and served as the Committee Chair for Troop 36 in Abudhabi. She has worked as Director Commissary, Camp Alpine, 2022, and previously Den leader, merit badge counselor, and unit committee member. She is a religious emblem counselor.

Yishai (Jesse) Paquin

Conservative (Masorti) Jewish

Yishai is an Eagle Scout and a rabbinical student in the Academy for Jewish Religion. He serves as TAC 802 units' Chaplain and lives in Northern Israel where he works as an outdoor adventure, climbing, rappelling, and caving guide. He is also a U.S. Army Chaplain Candidate.

Rubeel Iqbal

Rubeel is an active Muslim Scouter based out of Virginia USA, recently located from Doha Qatar. He is COR of unit 400 in Doha and father of two Eagle Scouts (Daughter and Son). He is a Board member of National Association of Muslim Americans on Scouting.
