A New Year in Scouting.
Throughout TAC in 2021, many events were canceled or held virtually due to Covid 19. This did not deter you from your Scouting adventure. Facing these challenges head-on gave rise to unique solutions to overcome these challenges. Many units thought of creative ways to deliver unparalleled Scouting. Where allowed, units continued to camp, hike, cycle, meet outdoors, participate in fundraising, earn rank, and other awards.
Though the current Covid situation throughout Europe is disheartening, TAC continues its promise to provide unparalleled Scouting in the safest manner possible. We do this by ensuring all precautions and host nation Covid directives are followed.
The council’s commitment to your safety and protection is stronger than ever. From Youth Protection Training to background checks for all adult volunteer leaders. Our commitment to you has never been stronger and will remain so with your cooperation and assistance. Working together, we will provide the best Scouting program in the BSA to the youth that we serve.
Being here in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia, provides us unique opportunities to seek out host nation scouting units to share the Scouting experience. Your TAC Commissioner Corps, along with the TAC International Commissioner, Joshua Dick, and the International Commissioner Committee, will assist in any way we can. You have a wealth of opportunity to participate in World Organization of Scouting Movement events here in Europe and online. Many of you have already done so, I encourage those of you that have, to spread the word to those who have not.
I look forward to an exciting and challenging 2022 in TAC Scouting. Come join us to make 2022 the greatest year yet in TAC Scouting!
