Commissioner Education and Training

Yesterday I spent the day attending a virtual College of Commissioner Science hosted by 3 councils, the Cradle of Liberty Council, the Washington Crossing Council, and the Garden State Council. Courses were offered for the Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate level tracks along with several sessions on Continuing Education.

Attending a College of Commissioner Science, either in person or virtually, is just one of several ways that commissioners are equipped to be successful! The other ways are completing the Commissioner Basic Training courses, attend one of a full range of national level commissioner training events, and utilizing the necessary resources provided by national that assist local councils and districts in providing continuing education for commissioners.

You would not be a commissioner if you didn’t believe in and care for the Scouting program. Continue building upon that care and belief by completing the required Commissioner position training, attend a College of Commissioner Science, and complete the various course offered for Continued Educational Development. Providing educational opportunities for our commissioners ensures the legacy of Scouting continues for future generations. Be the Heart, Build Relationships, Change Lives!
