SCOUT-A-THON

It’s time once again to participate in Scout-A-Thon!

We would like to encourage all units to participate in Scout-A-Thon 2018. We are sure you will have a wonderful time and just know we greatly enjoyed seeing and hearing about the quality and variety of your Scout-A-Thon events. We hope that this will be a memorable experience for your units. The Scout-A-Thon 2018 event has begun and we look forward to what your unit has planned!

‌‌‌ WHAT IS SCOUT-A-THON?

The Scout-A-Thon is a fun way to help raise money for your unit and at the same time help support scouting programs throughout the Council. Consider participating in the Transatlantic Council Scout-A-Thon to assist your unit with raising money for this year’s program costs.

The Annual Scout-A-Thon is an opportunity for every Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venturer to participate in earning money to pay for things like program material fees, camp and activity fees. You may participate for yourself or others in need. Either way, it helps Scouting! The Scout-A-Thon proceeds will help send more youth to camp and also help the Transatlantic Council to make all programs even better. Participants may attend as individuals, or as Dens*, Patrols, Crews, Packs, Troops, or Posts. Units are encouraged to hold one large unit level Scout-A-Thon event.

It is required that Tiger Cubs participate with an adult partner.

WHAT CAN THE UNIT DO?

  1. Download the  SCOUT-A-THON UNIT LEADER GUIDE 2018.
  2. Your unit plans to take part by deciding what their Scout-A-Thon will be (e.g., Bowl-A-Thon, Bike-A-Thon, Jog-A-Thon, Book-A-Thon, etc.).
  3. Plan a date and location to hold the event. Be sure to give yourself enough time to make sure the event is successful.
  4. Fill out the Unit Commitment Form to begin your journey to providing a quality program throughout the scouting year.
