Intercamp is an international scouting camporee that occurs annually on Whitsunday (Pentecost) weekend. This event is organized by member Scout associations of the Intercamp Committee of which Transatlantic Council is a member. The site rotates among the different Scout associatons and in 2008 it will be hosted by the German Scouting Association.
Each country receives an allocation based on its membership, traditional participation, and also the total number of scouts that the site can hold. Transatlantic Council will be able to send 300 Scouts and Scouters to Intercamp. Reservations are accepted on a first come, first served basis with fees paid. To make as many slots available as possible to youth members, there is a 6 Scout to 1 Leader ratio with of course a minimum of 2 leaders per troop.
Important Note to avoid any misunderstanding: This is not a Transtlantic Council event. We pass fees in full to the Intercamp Committee. There are no refunds under any circumstances.
We understand that there may be a delay between submitting registration and fees but the actual registration is accepted only when the fees arrive.
Among the participating countries and scout associations are: Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, British, Czech, French and Polish Scouts.
