Who Can Attend: All Boy Scouts, Venturers and Scouters registered with the Transatlantic Council. We will be accepting a total of 285 registrations. In order to favor as many youths as possible participating, if we sell out this event and have a wait list, we will take away adult registrations from units that are over the below ratios:

Please remember the Klondike Derby is a Scouting event; not a family vacation event. Due to limited accommodations and space, as well as limited ability to feed a large number of people, we cannot accept registrations for families. Families who wish to attend may certainly do so, but must make arrangements in regards to their own  accommodations, food, and transportation. Only those individuals who are on The Klondike Committee Staff (KCS) will be billeted. Other adults attending will work as program officials, kitchen help, or other duties as assigned.

Cost: $195 per registered Youth, Adult Leader, and Staff. This covers the cost of lodging, meals, & program, including patches etc.

  Payment: This is a first come; first serve event. Your unit must register via the online TAC registration  and pay through that site or via Pay Pal – under ‘notes area’ please specify unit number and quantity of participants you are paying for, Unit Account (if authorized user), or check made out to TAC-BSA are also a means of payment. Be sure to indicate unit number and Klondike Activity on all checks and money orders. Fees must be paid in US Dollars.

Payment Schedule: $50 deposit per youth and/or adult holds slot by 1 December 2014. Balance due No Later Than 2 January 2015 –Units must communicate their payment plan with Council if need be.

Cancellation Policy: Slots are transferable but there are no refunds . Once your troop has put down a deposit on a slot, the troop must pay for the slot, find a replacement from another unit, or may request it be filled from the waiting list for adults. If there is no waiting list and the troop cannot find a replacement, the unit will be responsible for the entire $195 cost of the slot.
