Camp Alpine

Camp Alpine is a fantastic Nationally accredited summer camp for Scouts, nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps at the Kandersteg International Scout Center, Switzerland. Camp Alpine takes advantage of the amazing location and offers a program focusing on the outdoors, nature and exploration. Being based at the World Center of Scouting, Scouts also get the opportunity to meet others from around the world, have great experience, build amazing memories and international friendships.

Camp Alpine’s program is carefully crafted to suit scouts at different stages of their scouting career. The program is suited towards participants of the Scout portion of the Boy Scouts America. We offer 3 core programs for scouts coming to spend the week with us:

Base Camp

Our Base Camp program is the perfect first step for new Scouts and a great start to their summer camp experience. Scouts learn all their essential Scout skills until 1st Class, Firem’n and Totin’ Chit, earn a couple merit badges but most importantly have fun.

Geared for the next step in a Scout’s career, the Ascent program is merit badge focused, with large blocks for better interaction. New badges on offer include Metalworking, Chess, Archery, Cooking and Communications.

Our specialty adventure program filled with outdoor adventure for older, more experienced Scouts. 3 main directions are available: Hiking, Water Sports, and Climbing. We are looking into final option to actually summit a mountain, may include glacial hikes.

If Webelos Cub Scouts have completed their Arrow of Light, reached the age requirement and are registered with a Troop, they are welcome to attend camp Alpine with that Troop.

Do you think that you’ve done it all, having ventured your way through Base CampAscent and Summit?
Well, the next big step is ahead of you: Become part of the Camp Alpine Staff. See the sections below
